Classically trained since age 5, Miranda began intensely delving into the world of jazz, pop/rock, R&B, and country with Eastman School of Music graduate Dr. Bruce Dudley in 2014. After completing her Commercial Piano Performance degree at Belmont University in 2018 and performing with the University’s prestigious Jazz Band I ensemble, Miranda now dedicates her time to being a prolific session player, accompanist, recording artist, and music teacher. She is a co-founder of award-winning jazz/funk group Brain Salad and wrote, co-produced, and arranged her solo debut single “I Hope You Know” in 2019. With a plethora of experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels, Miranda is very accustomed to adapting to a variety of different learning styles and is passionate about instilling a love of music in students. Miranda enjoys teaching all aspects of piano including scales, technique, musicality, theory, sight-reading, improvisation, classical literature, and commercial styles. Her overall philosophy is to foster each individual student’s love for piano and aid them in their own, unique musical journey!
